SNOW IN WESTERN WASHINGTON

The Creative Hand Studio is located in Puyallup, Washington. While we do get snow in Washington, Puyallup usually gets a small sprinkling if any. This December seems to be alot different however. Now I know that people who live in other parts of the country will call us wimps BUT really, I don't even own a pair of boots. And it took me forever to locate some wool socks!

My Golden Retriever, Joe, loves the stuff. Joe is a retriever that doesn't like the water and doesn't retrieve but he really likes the snow. He especially loves rooting around for those snowballs that he doesn't catch.

GETTING READY FOR CHRISTMAS

On November 22nd The Creative Hand Studio was "Getting Ready for Christmas". Trina prepared a wonderful taco salad along with some of her fabulous desserts. We made a Christmas stocking, tree ornament and a pot holder. It was a wonderful way to celebrate with friends and get some sewing done too.

Kay is very happy with the results of her Christmas stocking.

Linda shows off her stocking she made using her new Janome 6600.

Loraine's stocking will be hung with great care.

We are planning some new classes and events for the studio. On the first Friday of every month (starting January 2nd) we will be hosting "Finish It Up Fridays". Join the fun, bring your projects and plan on sewing from 5pm-10pm.

On January 31st, 2009 from 10 am - 6 pm we will be hosting another "Dinner and a Mystery".

DINNER AND A QUILT (MYSTERY)

Debi and Trina's first "Dinner and a Quilt" mystery was a two night event, starting on Halloween. Participants arrived at The Creative Hand Studio (Debi's digs) ready to begin the fun.

Trina prepares a delicious meal for the quilters. You would be surprised how hungry you get trying to figure out the clues.
